Does anybody know what happenned to Peter Gurney's herd of piggies after he sadly passed away earlier this year? I was reading his books just now and got to thinking, I wonder where they all are now. There were a good many of them, he wrote about having over 80.

It makes me so sad that he was taken to soon, and one of my regrets will always be that I never got to meet him.

Hello

Animal life line had them in Cheam near me!! most of them went abroad and the rest where re-homed in hours !! I was asked to take some as I am a rescue centre as well but they took the lot and I did not get a look in!!

Thanks Debbie, I was wondering about it, I'm not surprised they were all homed in hours, but how funny that they went abroad! I wonder why!

Such a shame you didn't get to home any! It would have been nice.

I once rang the animal lifeline people about a pig they had for homing, but they weren't very helpful really. They had this beautiful neutered boar on their site and I rung and asked about him and they said they didn't know if he was still there, and couldn't give me any information, and hung up quickly, so that was that.

That's really nice of them:) I do boarding too and I was wondering if I ought to get in touch with the RSPCA in our area and let them know about me. I'd love to do fostering too so perhaps that would be a good way to get started?
