Hi all
I seem to have read something about this problem, but can't lay my hands on where. Please advise. One of my sows has suddenly developed a muccousy discharge from her nose and it is rather crusty??
What could it be?
What should I do?
Should I seperate her?
Any and all advis eappreciated

Hi, I've had this problem with some of my pigs. I did separate them, simply because mine spread quite rapidly. I treated them with baytril, also I put vic on their noses. I also picked their nose(!) to remove any dried up mucus. I did this on a regular basis. I also very gently held them upside down and loads of mucus came out of their nose. I kept mine indoors, so I could keep a close key on them.I had this problem over christmas, about 8 of my pigs suffered from this and I lost 3.
I hope this helps, I found it did, but some one else might have a better idea.  |

| hi i got my baytrill from the vets just tell them u have cavies and it is a antibiotic and i also but vics around the cage |
