Hi All

New to this post, used to breed quite a few but only have two pets now. Moving to France later in the year and want to take the pigs with me. Is anyone familiar with what I need to take them with me.

Look forward to any help.

Many thanks
Corky

HI Corky

nice to have you on the Top 100

as for the piggys ? well as long as they have there hay and fresh food
i dont see a problem ?

take a massive amount of your dryed food ? reason being is that the french guinea pig dryed food might be quite differnt and so introducing it slowly would be best
by changing say 20% of the english food over to the french food each time
you should end up with all french food after a while ?

sorry thats not quite what you where asking was it ?
i had a man come and collect some of my piggys and she lives in spain
he took them off of me and set of driving through to the ferry ?
and then home ?
he never mentioned if he needed any form of paper work ?
so i guess as long as you have there date of birth and any other details with you that you might need i dont see them asking you really ?

unless you have a guinea pig cage strapped to the roof of your car ? hehehehhehe
Very Happy

I don't think that you need any form of paper work but it wouldn't hurt to get in touch with the ferry/train company to just double check. It may be that you will just have to pay a small fee for taking them on board with you Very Happy but from what I know by train you don't have to pay anything Very Happy
