Hello,

Sorry, I don't know anything about Guiena Pigs yet, but I am so eager to learn. They are great animals, they really are Smile

Okay, I have a coloured female Guiena Pig I bought from a Pet Store on Friday. I am wondering, what breed is she? Here are some pictures? (I have more, but they are blury)

Thanks in advance Smile

Love,

Sugar & Claire xox

P.S I didn't even realize that there were different breeds of cavies, just goes to show how little I know!

Hello,

Thanks for classing her breed Smile You must be pretty knowledgable about Guiena Pigs to do that, I admire you knowledge Smile

The Pet Store says she is two weeks old. I do know Guiena Pigs are meant to be weaned at three weeks old, and I think that maybe her mother died? And her Brothers and sisters? Because she was the only one there, and it is very early for her to be weaned. But she's doing fine, she's loves and snuggle Smile

Love,

wow two weeks ?
i never let my babies leave there mum till 6 weeks !
due to the value of her milk ?
give her some milk soaked into some bread ? for a while ( a small amount once a day for this will help with her calcium if she is that young !? )

in pet shops in england its against the law to sell piggys under the 8 weeks ?
they all do it with a week yonger but to be two weeks the poor thing ?

how much is her weight ?

sorry im always worrying about these things Smile

Hello,

I know, its horrible she's so young. She should still be with her Mummy, but she's not. I feel really sorry for her, but Pet Stores don't really care about the animals, its getting the money. The only thing that may have happened was her Mum died (a lot of Guiena Pigs who have been kept outside lately have been dyig die to the cold) but I couldn't see how Sugar would survive if her Mum couldn't.

I'll try giving her the bread idea, thats a great idea Smile Thanks for the suggestion Smile
