I'm so worried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truffle my boar is limping and whenever i touch his leg he wheeks. I have no idea how he done it! Theres no lumps or scars of ANYTHING! He drags it along the floor like a broom!! I'm so worried, all of his 3 sons have just moved in with him and him LOVES them to peices and yoo can tell he is a great dad! He nudges them with his nose if he thinks its not safe and snuggles up close to them at night but i don't no what to do! I can't take him to the vet because they'll put him down! Im NOT HAVING THAT! I understand where you are coming from but you must take him to a vet it sounds like he is in a great deal of pain and he will suffer and as much as yu love him that isnt fair - he might not have broken his leg and vets are very clever and can do alot now days, but he needs pain killers poor little man. Plus the good thing is HE knows how much i love them ( Unlike other vets!) He said he has probably sprined it and he recommended some pain killers. He probably knocked it on the side of the cage. Buying him painkillers is a halfway measure. He needs to see a vet and be treated properly, not by guesswork. I am afraid that paying out for vet care is part and parcel of the privilige of owning a pet.
